DAO; Can't download Leliana's Song DLC [no spoilers] Just recently got into the Dragon Age games. I got Dragon Age Origins ultimate on EA play which to my understanding includes all DLCs. I have all the DLCs except for Dragon plate i guess which in the game journal it says it's free, and Leliana's Song which appears to cost "Bioware coins
If they aren't in the list, then the next step is to determine whether that is an issue with Steam, or not. And if Steam does not include the free promo items in their DAO:UE package, they can be downloaded and installed manually from Bioware's CDN, via the Dragon Age Wiki > Downloadable content (Origins) 0. + XP. #3. Well, in Origins, i am at the final Dragon boss - but he's kicking my butt. So EA has a half-off sale, so i get a few things like Witch Hunt, Golems, Leliana's song, and even Awakening. I decided to play through Witch Hunt to get some new spiffy levels and stronger equipment and abilities to help me against the end boss of the game. I had to Locate the offers.xml file in the main origins dragon age folder something like C:\Program Files\Origin Games\Dragon Age\__Installer. Use that file to replace the offers.xml file in [user]\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings. Also make sure there is an offer folder with all the data in the same directory from the main origin game Origin should not be trying to download them again. I suspect they are failing because they are already installed by Origin. I also suspect the reason its trying to install it again is because there are 3 sets of Feastday Pranks and Feastday Gifts in the games details section of Origin. If I right click Dragon Age: Origins and select "View Game I downloaded Dragon Age 2 (with everything all DLC) via Steam. I played this game like mad years ago, on 360. When I saw the "everything" edition for $7, I couldn't pass it up. I downloaded it, installed it, then tried to play. Sure enough, EA and their "you must sign up with/install origin" b.s. strikes. To install downloadable content manually follow these instructions: Download the DAZIP file. Locate daupdater.exe in your game folder. For example, Steam users will find the file at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dragon age origins\bin_ship\. Users of the Ultimate Edition will find the file at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
The dlcs are included in the game download file. I'm about 100% sure that steam downloads them to your game files. When you load up Dragon Age Origins the world map will highlight gold icons for fast travelling. Those are your dlc quests!! Also you start with one peice of your blood dragon plate already in your inventory. I hope this helps.
I just finished Dragon Age Ultimate in Steam, including all DLC's. I'm planning to delete the game data since its about 25 gig. How do I back it up just in case I plan on playing DA2 someday? Is it automatically backed up by EA servers? If I download DA2 on Origins, will it be able to recognize my saves on its cloud system? Ugxva.
