3705posts · Joined 2011. #2 · Dec 6, 2012. You can use any high quality 5W-20 oil that meets Ford's specification. The use of synthetic oil (my personal preference) certainly isn't required but it may be a good idea for extended oil change intervals. I am Kabigon and I approve this message.
