Inov-8 Trailtalon 235. This shoe is a lighter, lower-drop, lower-stack-height version of the Trailtalon 290. It’s got the same PowerFlow midsole and moderately aggressive, versatile outsole pattern, but a more minimal upper. The lower drop, stack height, and weight should make the shoe feel speedy on faster runs.

The feel of the sole is similar to the popular RocLite 295's, just a lower profile and stiffer upper construction to hold your foot in place. The flexibility allows your foot to feel a lot of the trail with every step, but you can still pound the downhills. The trademark sticky Inov-8 lugs are there, so you can go nuts in the dirt and grass.
The fit is fairly supportive, and they will suit mid-width feet. There are lighter inov-8 shoes on the market, but the Inov-8 Roclite G315 has a more robust upper, plus a Gore-Tex membrane, which helps fend off the wet and rough ground in the Highlands. There is less cushioning than other shoes I’ve tested and this could leave your feet weary
