Check the fuse. Once you locate the fuse box, find the fuse that controls the interior light. This information can be found in your carβs manual or on the fuse box cover. Use a fuse tester or a multimeter to test the fuse for continuity. If the fuse is blown, the multimeter will show no continuity, and the tester light will not light up.

My Ford Focus CMAX 5_2006 GHIA 2.0 TDCI, has an issue with the interior lighting. It doenst work. By interior lighting I mean the light unit next to the rear view mirror and the unit in the rear above the passengers. I have read a couple posts, and have checked the fuses in the fusebox, F80, is still correct. I replaced it, but still no solution.
Dash lights won\'t turn off. OK, I went outside to move my car after my wife got home. I started the car, then noticed the dash lights were on before I turned on the lights by the switch. I fiddled with the switch--even unplugging the standard NA light switch the dash lights won't go out. I pulled out and unplugged the dimmer control, no change.
Ok try the hard reset. by disconnect the battery terminals, touch them together, leave them disconnected for 10minutes, and have a helper vehicle use jumper cables to charge battery. Ok I'll have to try that when I get off highway. I don't have anything or anybody with me.

Found out the lights are wired with the interior & inside bed lighting. The TOUCHLINK will stay on if it is still in the ON position. BEST way to test it >> with tailgate unlocked, wait for interior lights to turn off, then open the tailgate. The normal regular (long) light should be off.
